Open Question: Did Eric Hinske originally come up as a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs?

I saw a baseball card from 2001 picturing Hinske in a Cubs uniform and the position said pitchers? Was he originally a pitcher in the minors? If memory serves me correct he came up as a 3B with the Blue Jays.... read more
